Talks and Activities

Lectures, Seminars and Media Contributions

I have given over 25 invited research seminars, including as keynote speaker for the 2021 Geographical Association (GA) Annual Conference. International talks include CUNY in New York and the National University of Singapore. I have been an invited panelist and discussant at major international conferences and workshops, where I have also co-organised conference sessions, later translated into a number of special issues or edited books.

I have provided media interviews and expert opinion for TV and radio, including BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC News (East Midlands Today). Research projects and interviews have featured in national and international press, including The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, The Economist and BBC News Online.
